MichalKozlowski LakeCastleXXIII pageMichalKozlowski WinterXXIII pageBorn in 1986 in Warsaw, Poland, Kozlowski is an independent visual artist. His work is initially built on a personal collection of images consisting of prints, photographs, cut-outs, fabrics, maps and postcards. The artist creates installations of large monochromes, with attention to the process-based experience of painting as well as assemblages of objects, images and words.

Kozlowski is the recipient of The Patrick and Kelly Lynch Scholarship (2011). He studied at the Chelsea College of Art and Design, London where he received a Master's degree in 2012, The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen (2010) and the European Academy of Arts, Warsaw, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in 2009. His work has been exhibited internationally in Poland, Denmark, England, Germany and The Netherlands, and can be found in private collections. He has co-authored various group exhibitions and has collaborated with photographer Pawel Eibel, Polish Radio Third Programme, independent book publishers Galeria Czulosc, Warsaw, TTC Books, Copenhagen, amongst others. Kozlowski designs his own press, zines, mail-art and artist books. He lives in London.
