Longo graduated in Painting from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Catania. During the course of her studies she spent some time in Barcelona, Spain. In 2009 she participated in an artist residency in Morocco, at Apartment 22, in Rabat. During this same residence she produced her work for the Marrakech Biennale. In 2011 she was invited by the Civitella Ranieri Foundation, an international residency organized by the Castello di Civitella Ranieri in Umbertide.

She mostly works in installation, video, photography and performance. Her work is usually inspired by personal and private research which the artist extends to social themes and reflections upon society. She exhibited in several solo exhibitions (both national and international) which include : My Own War, GAM, Palermo (2014), Place/ No Place, BadNew Business Gallery, Milano (2013), Demolition#1 squatter, Assabone, Milano; Neitherherenorthere, Temporary Museum e Francesco Pantaleone, Palermo (2011), Cages, Arte contemporanea Bruxelles (2010).
