SR 2Stepan Ryabchenko (1987) is a Ukrainian new generation artist, one of the leading figures in digital and new media art. He participates in international projects and biennales. The focus of his work is on the interaction between new media and traditional visual art, the boundary between the real and the virtual world, and the nature of new art.

In his bold and vibrant projects the artist "plays" with space, transforming it and designing new environments. Means of making digital images are at the same time tools for creation of virtual worlds which allow one to reflect on the "virtualization" of our existing reality. In his various installations, sculptures and pictures Ryabchenko tells a grand and ambitious story of virtual reality by means of its ideas, heroes and mythologies

Stepan Ryabchenko first studied architecture and then turned his attention towards the contemporary art scene. He studied in Odessa, his hometown, and has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 2010. He is the winner of the first Ukranian Triennale of Abstract Art 'ART-ACT'. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Ukraine, Holland, Italy, Austria, Lithuania, Russia, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Ryabchenko lives and works in Odessa.
